Free Hugs

Hugs are the universal medicine.  ~Author Unknown

I am just loving this movement...

"Sometimes, a hug is all what we need.

Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whos sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives.

In this age of social disconnectivity and lack of human contact, the effects of the Free Hugs campaign became phenomenal.

As this symbol of human hope spread accross the city, police and officials ordered the Free Hugs campaign BANNED. What we then witness is the true spirit of humanity come together in what can only be described as awe inspiring.

In the Spirit of the free hugs campaign, PASS THIS TO A FRIEND and HUG A STRANGER! After all, If you can reach just one person" Free Hugs Campaign

I am a high school teacher, and two years ago, some students walked around with signs that said "Free Hugs". It was adorable. Unfortunately, our administration banned them - but their hearts were in the right place!

Story time: In high school the guy that sat behind me said he wanted a hug. I freaked out. Why would someone want a hug? How sad is that? So, I see people feeling weird about this. But seriously it's a hug.

(I think I was scared for him to feel how itty bity my boobs were.)

Go them, a hug campaign!

Now my boobs are HUGE and I love hugs. Hmmm...

I agree. Hugs work wonders....even when you think you DON'T enjoy hugs...when you get a good one, you just can't deny it! Love this movement.

There is a sweet gentleman at work who always hugs me when he sees me. (in a friendly way not a creepy way). It always makes my day so much brighter! I love free hugs and this movement!!!

Agreed! There was a guy on my college campus that did this. Always, always, ALWAYS made me smile even if I didn't stop for one myself. :)

I just LOVE this!!!! Thanks for sharing. I had seen this before but it's been a while, great to watch it again. Why in the world would they ban this? It's legal to carry a fire arm but you can't give a free hug!? This world has it's priorities all wrong! Love this movement. xoxo

Hugs are wonderful things. Every time I see a Free Hugs sign I make sure to get one. :)

PS I was at Comic Con this weekend and saw a guy carrying a sign that said, "Cheap Hugs: $1"

Loved it! lol

i have "free hugs" days at my house- it creates a fun "reason" for my to hug my kids more than normal and they end up hugging each other even though they fight like...cats and dogs...siblings...frenemies... yep fight like that.
